Module Three : Paper
OGL: 350 Diversity and Organizations really stuck out to me as I relate it to strategic planning due to outside forces in which I will add later. This course in particular focused on the understanding of the importance of diversity or cultures across the globe and the USA. More importantly, I highlighted the impact of diversity on informal and formal organizations. The artifact attached, focuses on social class and my results for the Social Class Exercise.

Reflection
This core competency is very important throughout any timeline. Aligning strategic planning and OGL 350 came to mind because of our recent political and social issues about representation, diversity and inclusion in all organizations, more importantly. Being a person of color, I felt honored to support the strategic planning on support my work peers throughout 2020. Using already available company tools and resources, we (my manager and I) created a training program to support discussion and dialogue about race, culture and identity that turn out effective.
Strategic planning continues to be a competency of mine that is constantly evolving. As a developing manager building experiences for the next lead role, I find myself re-adjust my planning with much more intent. A recent example is how I am scheduling my time at work. Before I may scheduled myself to open, for example, because I did not have someone available to open the store. Now I may plan to schedule myself to open to also observe business operations or assess team performance. Although not fully confident of my strategic planning, yet, I am much more comfortable leading and planning with intent.
